Solaris Offgrid, which started operating three years ago and now has offices in Spain (Valencia) and Tanzania, has achieved an investment round of one million euros to further reduce energy poverty in Africa thanks to its integrated solution of affordable rural energy. 

Solaris Offgrid's solution provides the flexibility to grow from basic lighting to communication systems. Two out of three people in sub-Saharan Africa do not have access to electricity. A total of 625 million in Africa. Solaris enables families and micro-entrepreneurs in rural communities in developing countries to access energy in an affordable way, by paying less than 0.25 dollars a day, through an integrated system of solar modules and mobile payment.
